Anamaria Martinca is an actor from Romania. She made her debut on the huge screen on Sex Traffic by Channel 4 and won the British Academy Television Award was awarded to the best actress. French, German English and Romanian are fluent languages. Her father is a theater professor for one of Romania's top theater schools. Won the Best Female Actor of the Year in 2000 Award during The Young Actor Gala Mangalia. In 2008 the European Film Promotion Board recognized her as a European Shooting Star. This film won several distinctions, among them the European Film Award Best Actress by British Film Critics. She starred in the Romanian film 4 luni 3 saptamani si 2 days (4 months, 3 weeks and 2 Days) produced by Cristian Mungiu. The film won the Palme d'Or at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival and two additional awards (the Cinema Prize of the French National Education System and the FIPRESCI prize). Additionally, she was the child character in Francis Ford Coppola's Youth Without Youth. In 2008, Marinca portrayed Yasim in BBC's five episode The Last Enemy. Marinca was a guest on The Romanian drama Boogie and Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven. Later she as the role of Irma's German grandmother in Fury that was released in 2014.
